Roy Cordes, Jr. is a 5-year Board Member of the Houston & South East Texas Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association and recently completed 18 months as Board Chair. Roy is a native of Sugar Land, a veteran, and a retired attorney. He has been a member of this Club for over 30 years including both his active and inactive memberships. Roy’s wife Helen, also a former member of this Club, passed away from Alzheimer’s disease. Like many who volunteer their time to the Alzheimer’s Association, Roy is passionate about finding the first survivor of Alzheimer’s and supporting those with the disease and their caregivers.

Fredy Batres is a Regional Manager at the Alzheimer’s Association. He focuses on fundraising, awareness, and recruiting volunteers in this role. He graduated from the University of Houston and is a Houston area native. Fredy’s grandfather passed away from Alzheimer’s disease over 10 years ago which makes him passionate about this disease and committed to one day finding a cure. Fredy’s free time is spent running after his 18-month-old son.
