Don Specks is an advocate for animals with over 12 years in the industry of veterinary medicine and animal shelter operations.  He started his career as a veterinary technician in Austin, Texas as a second career to pursue his passion.  He has an Associates and Bachelor’s Degree in Veterinary Technology and Practice Management. 

As a State Licensed Veterinary Technician he has been:

·       A practice manager with Banfield Animal Hospital

·       Animal Welfare Coordinator for The Vet Tech Institute

·       Shelter Director for the Houston SPCA

And he is currently the Shelter Manager for the City of Sugar Land Animal Services.
