Additional Information

Mayor Robin J. Elackatt was sworn in as the City’s highest elected official and presiding officer on Monday, Dec. 21, 2020. For more than 15 years, Mayor Elackatt has been advocating for City initiatives, including spearheading the Council’s approval to allocate more resources for sidewalk repairs in all communities, voting to ensure budget accountability and transparency, identifying the need for ongoing infrastructure maintenance citywide, assisting with efforts to expand business development, and supporting public safety through the establishment of the Police Mini-Station on Texas Parkway and upgrades to Fire Stations across the City to better serve the needs of all constituents.
Mayor Elackatt previously served as District C Councilmember from 2009-2015 and during that tenure, he partnered with multiple homeowner associations in the district to help improve the quality of life for local families. His goal is to continue to work with residents, his fellow Councilmembers, and stakeholders to ensure Missouri City remains one of the BEST communities in the nation.
Mayor Elackatt and his family purchased their first Missouri City home in 2005. They selected Missouri City because both Robin and his wife loved it and felt this was a great place to live, raise a family, and work. Robin discovered his call to serve in his 20s when he was elected President of the Chicago Knanaya Catholic Youth League (KCYL) in 1992-1994. He was also elected as the first President of Knanaya Catholic Youth League of North America (KCYLNA) in 1994-1995.
Prior to running for City Council, Elackatt served as the vice chairman and board member of the City’s Parks Board. He also served on the Colony Lakes Homeowner’s Association Board and was one of the past presidents of the Homeowner’s Association Board. Mayor Elackatt owns a small business within the City and his wife Tina is a Physician Assistant. They are the proud parents of two wonderful young daughters and his family are members of St. Angela Merici Catholic Church
