“In an era when many of us tend to be “plugged-in” at all times through social media, smartphones, email or other  communication channels, it’s hard to understand that there are still young people out there needing and wanting connection.

Benny Simonton, Lead Mentor Coordinator and Leah Williams, Mentor Caseworker are excited to introduce the mentoring program to you. Benny is extremely passionate when it comes to the youths of Fort Bend County, working with the Juvenile Department for the past 11 years.  Benny and his wife have also fostered around 75 youths throughout the years.   Leah has been with the department for almost three years and is also very passionate when it comes to the youths of Fort Bend County.  They both believe in the development of positive relationships between mentors and mentees is so important, especially in today’s climate.  In choosing to serve as mentors for young people we have the ability to change the lives of many of our youth.”
