Maureen Mezzino Patton – Executive Director, The Grand 1894 Opera House

Maureen M. Patton has served as the Executive Director of The Grand 1894 Opera House since 1981.  Her many duties include and have included overseeing the theatre's $3.5 million budget, supervising its administration, directing three major capital campaigns and scheduling The Grand's vibrant programming.  Mrs. Patton holds a B.A. degree in Music and a Masters Degree in Music Theory and Composition.

She has served her community on numerous boards and is active in a number of community building organizations, including the Galveston Park Board of Trustees, the Galveston Chamber of Commerce, the Rotary Club of Galveston and regionally, nationally, a past chair and currently on the board of the Southwest Performing Arts Presenters and a past  president and currently an emeritus board member of the League of Historic American Theatres. 

Mrs. Patton has served as a management and programming consultant on fifteen theatre projects in four states.
