Fire Chief Mark Campise.

Chief Campise leads all Sugar Land Fire Department divisions, including Administration, Community Risk Reduction, and Emergency Operations. He joined Sugar Land Fire-EMS in 2021 as Assistant Fire Chief of Emergency Services, bringing a clear focus on leadership development, mentorship, and planning for the future.

Before Sugar Land, he served in Pearland, where he helped design new stations, rebuild training divisions, and lead emergency response for over 10,000 calls a year. His journey began as a volunteer firefighter in La Porte in 1998, and since then, he's worn many hats—teacher, battalion chief, adjunct college instructor, and now Executive Fire Officer.

Outside the firehouse, he's a proud father of three sons and enjoys the great outdoors, especially time spent in the Texas Hill Country.
