Born in South Bend, Indiana, Steve made his way to Texas immediately after graduating from Indiana University. He began his professional journey as a CPA at Price Waterhouse before transitioning to Sugarland Properties Inc. in 1984. Over the next three decades, Steve played a pivotal role in developing First Colony and Sugar Land Town Square, shaping them into vibrant communities.?

Beyond his professional achievements, Steve has been deeply committed to community service. He served as the charter president of the Exchange Club of Sugar Land, demonstrating his dedication to civic engagement. His philanthropic efforts extend to various organizations, including Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston and The George Foundation. 

Steve's contributions have been recognized with several accolades, such as Marketing Director of the Year from the Greater Houston Builders Association and Fort Bend Businessman of the Year from the Rotary Club.?
