Kim Ogg, Harris County District Attorney, is a native Houstonian and attorney of 35 years.

She’s been recognized as a specialist in criminal law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization since 1992. DA Ogg has served in many different roles in our justice system including assistant district attorney, Anti-Gang Task Force Director, Crime Stoppers Executive Director, and managing partner.

As the top law enforcement official in Harris County, DA Ogg's priorities are to stop the release of repeat violent offenders on bail; reduce the criminal case backlog through targeted prosecution of Houston's most violent criminals; and divert non-violent, low-level offenders to programs that keep them in the workforce.
