Alan Jarman hails from Chattanooga, TN, and is the father of two. He relocated to the Houston area in 2018 to take a position as a counselor and bible teacher at a non-profit residential/outreach ministry. After three years there, He was given the opportunity to join Star of Hope as a case manager and hasn't looked back. In addition to driving the Mission's Love-in Action van, Alan reaches out to the street homeless in Fort Bend and Brazoria Counties, offering help, encouragement, a way out of homelessness, and a path to a new life. His extensive knowledge and compassion represent the "HOPE" in Star of Hope as he helps end homelessness one life, one family at a time.
